WHAT IS WELLNESS?

One of our company goals is to provide people with a clear understanding of what the term wellness means and to show how wellness is something that can be practiced daily to improve your life, just as one would practice an exercise routine. 

 

Wellness is a comprehensive approach to a healthy and happy lifestyle. It fills in the gaps of why diet and exercise alone does not produce the full and long-lasting results for a better and stronger life.

 

Wellness is a practice, not a product. It is an individual’s personal path of self-improvement and an evolving process of learning how to enjoy life more. Wellness is the modern day practice of self-mastery.

WHAT IS A PERSONAL WELLNESS PATH?

A personal wellness path is a daily, weekly, and seasonal routine of practicing skills and strategies that will create the likelihood of success in life. A daily wellness routine not only influences how you feel today but is also a way of investing in future well-being and happiness. It is like building a storehouse of personal strength and health from accumulated strong acts and healthy behaviors. 
 

A personal wellness path is structured around the 8 dimensions of wellness and the practice of wellness skills. It is self-directed and unique to everyone. A wellness path is a plan and daily routine for being good at life. Whatever that means to you.

Meet your local instructor

Dylan Olson is a local Fort Collins resident with a desire to support the health and strength of his community members. He has a degree from Utah State University in Health and Physical Education, with an emphasis on wellness. He is a certified personal trainer, certified behavior change specialist, and owner/operator of the Wellness Skills Academy, a local fitness and wellness instructing company. Dylan is also a martial arts instructor with a 2nd degree black belt that has been practicing and teaching martial arts, meditation, and mindfulness exercises for over 20 years. One of his goals as a wellness instructor is to provide people with an understanding of wellness being a personal path and to show how wellness is something that can be practiced daily to improve your life, just as one would practice an exercise routine.
